I was helping a neighbor extract honey last night and when we got into the super we found wax moths. I’ve seen articles on how to clean up after the attack, but what should we do to help the bees right now? I told him I thought we needed to get into the brood boxes to see how bad it was.

He has not been as active in management as I am with my hive. I get into mine at least once a week to look for problems and I’ve been treating for mites which he has not.

Any advice or articles would be much appreciated. I’d hate to see him lose this hive.
