I will be doing a class in March again. It will be different than the last classes that I have taught as I continue to learn and grow in beekeeping. The class will be the 14th of March from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Edgewood Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons). There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend if you have any interest in bees. I will talk about managing bees. Please check it out at http://papabearshoney.com

I have few top bar starter nuc hives I am selling. These are established mini-colonies. The honeybees know their queen. These nuc hive include a fresh well mated queen, four bars of: bees, drawn comb, brood (both open and sealed) with honey stores and pollen. The queens where raised and mated Albuquerque, NM. Top Bars are 19 ½” long, and will fit into both a Les Crowder plan hive and a TJ Carr plan hive. They can also be trimmed to fit smaller hives. I am charging $155 for the nuc hives. There is also a $10 deposit for the waxed cardboard nuc., box plug and strap, that the four bars of comb and bees come in. The waxed cardboard box makes it easy for you to take your Nuc home and transfer them into your own hive. Nuc colonies are one of the best ways to start a new hive, because they are an established colony with new bees hatching all the time. Best way to reach me is to call or text me at 505-750-7733. Contact me soon. First come, first served. I will start a list and let you know when the Nucs are ready.

Craig, Are you doing nuc hives next spring? I need to find a source for next year. This year we paid $975 to NMHoney and Ed Costanza for 5 nuc hives. They never delivered them and refuse a refund. If you are doing it next year I will pass the word along. Please help us pass the work for bee keepers not to use Ed Costanza or NMHoney.com. That is alot of money to seal from someone. Please let me know if you are selling for next spring. Thanks, Sean
