I noticed there is an add for a beginner bee keeping seminar in Alamogordo this Saturday.. the 19th.. however in the newsletter it has September 18 and 19 listed.. what’s going on on the 18th?

Hi there Larry. Great question. On September 18, for experienced beekeepers, Jessie Brown, NMBKA President will have a listening session to see how NMBKA can better work with Otero County Extension and local beekeepers to provide additional support. 3-5 pm, September 18.

On September 19, there will be a beginning beekeeping class from 10-noon on beekeeping basics, plants for bees and preventing swarms. In the afternoon, there will be a discussion on how to manage for Africanized bees from 1-3. Hope this answers your question.
